INTRODUCING A NOVEL WARM MIX ADDITIVE: LEADCAP

We are excited to introduce LEADCAP, a new and innovative organic additive developed specifically for warm mix asphalt pavement (WMA). LEADCAP was developed in collaboration between Kumho Petrochemical and the Korea Institute of Construction Technology. This new development allows WMA engineers to develop designs that can:

		Improve crack resistance of pavements at low temperatures Improve rutting resistance  of WMA designs Help reduce moisture susceptibility of the asphalt mixture LEADCAP contains an adhesion promoter for better adhesion between aggregates and the asphalt binder LEADCAP reduces odors and fumes generated during the mix production and paving process
LEADCAP is produced by KUMHO Petrochemical Company an international company and one of the largest producers of innovative high quality synthetic rubbers. KUMHO'S comprehensive line of KTR SBS thermoplastic elastomers are widely used in the asphalt modification industry worldwide. Cook Chemical Company is responsible for distribution and technical marketing for LEADCAP in the USA market. Cook Chemical has been distributing and representing Kumho's SBS polymer line in the USA market since 1999 and will utilize its extensive national distribution system to deliver LEADCAP to customers quickly and efficiently.
